Does taking advantage of leadership learning opportunities really benefit you?  Will it really separate you from those who don’t in the eyes of your superiors?  Life’s journey is an educational opportunity.  When you make a mistake do you just try to get past it or do you take the opportunity to find out what went wrong and then correct it?  Those who take the time to learn from their mistakes are more successful leaders than those who continuously repeat their mistakes.  When you do not take the opportunity to learn important leadership skills you have a greater chance of staying stagnant, cycling, or going down hill.  However, individuals and companies, who take time out to learn about themselves or the flow of the company gain more success.

Unfortunately during this economic time their are less companies who will (can) spend time, money, and energy into leadership educational programs – these are often the companies and managers who eventually experience down-sizing – at the least. It is becoming up to the individual employees and mangers to seek new insight and bring it to the company – in order to save what is left.
